I love taking pictures of people taking pictures. Even a simple phone selfie is a moment where the subject is concentrated in thought and possibly practicing their favorite smile / poses for that perfect “I was there” travel photo. Blown out highlights, little thought for the background, but it doesn’t matter. And if you are both patient and quick, you can take a capture a real expression flash over them as they review the pic or turn to move on to the next selfie spot.

This little point & shoot is a brick (in a good way) able to compete with so many expensive and trendy Ricohs… which is probably why it now costs more as a 2016 used camera as it did when new. It is my travel camera when I do not want to mess with bigger cameras with multiple lenses. You can point this at nearly anyone and they barely register that a photo is happening, which is ideal in street photography. The images the 1″ sensor make are IMO better than many I see coming out of the flagship $$$ phone cameras. I will be crushed if it ever dies or gets snatched.
