Wandering the streets of Central El Paso

I had a reason to walk in early summer sun and decided to take my Olympus e-m1ii and my longest lens with me in hopes of finding something interesting.  I was not disappointed.  This is my street beast camera, a flagship from 2017 that has amazing IBIS (stabilization) and doesn’t cause arm strain even with its bigger zooms.  No people in frame, and that could have improved it, but sometimes a mural can stand on its own without a walker present.  I would have gladly accepted a cat though.

It is what it really is.

As usual, no color edits. No calming down blowouts, now sliding to drag up shadows.  No starting over from RAW and risking an artificially highlighted HD image.  Those things have a purpose in commercial photography, not all street walks.  This image looks exactly as I remember and as I had hoped when framing it.
