Do a quick search and you will find nearly 100% positive reviews for this inexpensive native AF lens. New: $225, used $190ish. This is a definite inclusion to a travel / street photography bag. As seen here, zero edits, AF-S, full Auto (yes, I admit that I often shoot Auto on walks because I don’t have the time or care for math and “optimization” when walking). I am happy. My boy was happy. Even the green grass seems happy despite the El Paso summer temperatures.
Let go
If you have a quality lens and your camera was born after 2015, let it do what it thinks is best on ISO, shutter, and aperture. The most I ever get as far as missed photos is unwanted blur if an animal or bug moves too quickly. Enjoy the scenery and focus on composure and finding moments.
