ISP Photography is born

This site used to have another name and a slightly muddier purpose.  Still photography, but more so for a portfolio and media experiment.  As there are already many John Murray Photography brands in the wilds of the internet, it seems like a more individualized name is appropriate.  The only other ISP Photography that I see is in the UK, and I do not think we will be competing in any way soon… or ever.  They do amazing work.  Check them out.  Commercial Photographer Dorset Christchurch | ISP Photography .  If there are still others, they aren’t in El Paso, Texas.  And the .com version was taken by another photographer who just uses it as a redirect to his actual page, so I jumped on the .pro suffix /top domain.  Saying semi-pro is more accurate, but this will do.

What is ISP?

I Shoot People.

Every photographer reaches a point where they wonder what kind of photographer they really are.  What do they like the most to do… or what makes money.  I fall into the first part.  I realized that aside from the texture and flowers, I really like photographing people.  More accurately, I like shooting people being people.

Informal Street Portraits

There are few better places to capture people being people than in urban streets.  I do this for fun and possibly to meet someone who wants a more dedicated shoot at another time.

Image Sensor Processor

ISP hardware is a specialized component in digital cameras that converts raw image data captured by the image sensor into high-quality images.  I like to think that the photographer can be described similarly.  We attempt to convert a segment of the massive amount of time, light, and form data into a quality image worth sharing.

I am sure that I can work out a few possible meanings for ISP, and it will happen at times when I am far from a keyboard, but this is a good start.
